Time is Limitless, It's you that runs out; How to never run out of time again

If you could go to a time dealer and get some more how often do you see yourself visiting that shop? In this time shop there are no ticking clocks or digital minutes whizzing by because you set the pace that fits your life. You can go to this shop anytime you want to feel the freedom of an uncluttered mind.

Welcome to the first Yogatopia blog post. Follow for Mindset Magic ™ ), weekly tips, step by step guides and strategies to make happy and healthy living easy. In exchange for your time I promise to always include specific action steps to solidify these powerful ideas. Each month we will focus on a timely theme to add value to your life.

The theme of December is time; How to have more of it by decluttering your head to declutter your life. Do you ever walk in to a room only to forget why you are there and spend five minutes figuring it out? Have you made more than one trip to the same supermarket in a day. Do you get decision fatigue deciding what to do first and waste time worrying about wasting time? Always in a hurry with a hopeless to do list I finally had to accept that science is no where near creating my clone and the time traveling DeLorean isn't real. Instead of letting brain fog cloud my head I've learned to experience clarity by understanding this this limitless (yes, LIMITLESS) precious gift we all have called time. Let's quickly visit a concept and action steps to frame this idea of limitless time.

1) The Universe offers an ABUNDANCE of every resource we need including TIME. In other words, TIME IS LIMITLESS; YOU ARE NOT.

You are what becomes expired or renewed. You become better or worse for the wear. As day turns in to night and again turns in to day and seasons pass and return, time will go on forever oblivious of the ways in which you choose to spend it, callous to the demarkations of your life. Time doesn't play tricks on you, you play tricks on you. Time isn't kind or cruel to you, you are kind or cruel to you. With that you can stop to consider; How are you spending your time (in your mind and in your actions)? And how does that compare to how you want to be spending your time? While this is the proverbial balancing act of life it may not always be practical. In action you ALWAYS have the choice to choose how you frame the time you are spending. Sometimes when things have to be done yesterday, the only thing we can do is take a deep breath and realize there will always be tomorrow. In the same way that time is limitless so are the needs, wants and responsibilities that fill your days. Withe every box ticked on the to do list another will appear. When you accept this with ease you can learn to inject joy in to your regular state of mind and move towards realistic expectations that set you up for success & productivity.

Action steps:

A)Limitless To Do List

Make a to do list for tomorrow. Check the ratio of what you have to do to what to want to do. As if you have a limitless day tomorrow check again and adjust that ratio until you feel a spark of joy ignite at all the possibilities of tomorrow.

B) Expectations - Reality = Disappointment

Now that you've adjusted your to do list to give your joy more equity, ADJUST YOUR EXPECTATIONS to give your success a better chance of survival. If you want to expire at a slower rate use up less of yourself. If you want to renew yourself devote more time to refreshing practices.

Cross off half of your to do list. Pick 3 HAVE TO'S and 2 WANT TO'S and set yourself up for success. If that's not realistic for your day adjust accordingly within a realistic range of what you know you can do.

Remember there is always tomorrow.

C) At one time or another we have all faced the reality of a day filled with all have to's and no want to's. Sometimes it's unavoidable if you are responsible adult who cares about silly things like bills and feeding your family and stuff. But if you are finding that this is more often the case than not it's worth taking this moment of consciousness as your read these words to begin to examine the current sturcture of your daily choices and where it might serve you to make some changes. Jot these thoughts down in journal or a piece of paper to get the thoughts out of your head and in to your conscious flow of daily energy.
